Un anno dopo Climate 01, abbiamo chiesto ad Andreco di venire in Puglia per Climate 03, unendosi a “La Gioia del Creato”, una mostra dedicata all’ex sindaco di Bitonto, architetto e pittore Umberto “Joditz” Kuhtz. Gli è stato chiesto di portare l’arte nella “zona 167″, una piazza del mercato circondata da case popolari, che si affaccia sul letto asciutto dell’antico fiume Tiflis. L’eccessivo sfruttamento delle terre limitrofe ha portato la sua vita al termine, provocando la desertificazione in uno delle più prolifiche aree di coltivazione di olio d’oliva d’Europa. Questo murales è una dedica al paesaggio locale e al duro lavoro che gli agricoltori e i lavoratori hanno dovuto sostenere in una lunga storia di lotta contro i proprietari terrieri.
il deserto è stato anche il tema principale di TEDxBari, che ha visto Pigment Workroom come partner, portando Andreco sul prestigioso palco del Teatro Petruzzelli, aggiungendo il suo punto di vista come artista e come ingegnere ambientale a quello degli altri importanti relatori.
Il giorno dopo è stata l’occasione per presentare la nostra fanzine Risograph ospiti di “SPINE Temporary Small Press Bookstore”.
La decorazione della parete è stata prodotta da Poesia in Azione con il patrocinio del Comune di Bitonto.

A year after Climate 01, we asked Andreco to came to Puglia for Climate 03, joining “La gioia del creato”, a show dedicated to Bitonto’s former major, architect and painter Umberto “Joditz” Kuhtz. He was asked to bring art in “Area 167”, a market square surrounded by social houses, overlooking the dry riverbed of ancient Tiflis river. Human behaviour brought its life to an end, causing desertification in one of the most prolific olive-oil zone of Europe. This mural is a gift to the local landscape and to the hard work that farmers and workers held up in a long history of struggle with landlords.
“Desert” was also the main theme of TEDxBari, which saw Pigment Workroom as a partner, bringing Andreco on the prestigious stage of Petruzzelli Theater, explaining his point of view as an artist and as an environmental engineer.
The day after was the occasion for presenting our self-made Risograph fanzine in four colors, thanks to Spine Bookstore.
